Happy Holidays!!!

I hope everyone enjoyed their respective holidays!!  I know I did and I am proud to say that out of the 24 projects I had lined up since the beginning of October I got 22 done.  So I will post as many projects as I can.

First off, my big project for my sister, was a drawing of Kris from the K pop group Exo.  This is the biggest drawing I have ever done and It was all done in colored pencil.

Here it is all matted and framed!!!  I am quite proud of this piece as it is my first ever colored portrait.  So hopefully there will be more of them in the near future!

Next is a couple of burned picture frames.

 I had a lot of fun with those!!! 

Next is the wolf wood burning I did.

And the last on for today is another large colored pencil drawing.

so this was the big commission that I was working on and could not post until after christmas.

I was asked to draw a girl and her boy friend as Link and Zelda.  I tried to incorporate as many elements from the different games as I could.

It's Getting Closer to Christmas

Well we are finally in the month of December....  This month is the bane of my existence, it is the time of year where I am blamed multiple times a week how I ruined some kids Christmas and  how I am a terrible person.  Retail is awful, so I have lost all that joy that the holiday should bring.  So I finished a commission and got it framed and ready to go... now back to my christmas gifts that I am making.  I have a couple that I would like to share with you!!!!

so this is a picture frame I decorated for a lady at work who I got in our gift exchange.  I put the name of her boys on there via woodburning!!!  It was a great deal of fun to do!!!!!
I also have gotten into the dying of fabrics as well!!!  so here are a few pictures of my dyeing process and the type of dye I use.

So I use Rite dye and I took some plain white bandana's and dyed them different colors.  I have a couple red ones a pink, orange, black, and two different purples.   I let them dry and then iron on different things depending on the person I am making them for.  this is one I just finished the other day.

This friend really likes pokemon so I did one of the pokemon from y in the corner and in the top I have the trainer and the logo in the corner diagonal from it. 
Having so much fun.  Plan to do one for myself ones everything else is all said and done!!!

Only updating on Wednesdays for now!!!

Okay so from now on updates only once a week as it has become quite crazy with me actually getting hours at work.  I have been working very hard on a commission and only have the small details left to go and then it's done however I can't post it till after Christmas. 

I have been trying to work on Christmas gifts but it has been difficult to find the time.  Anyway this is what I have been working on.

Sorry for the bad pictures but I really don't have anywhere else to take pictures at the moment.  Hopefully by next Wednesday my big commission will be done along with one if not both of these as well!!!

I am so sorry I have not been keeping up with my posting.  I have no excuse for the lack of updating.  Though my mood has gone from happy to extremely depressed.  Life never seems to go the way I would like.  But this is not a place for a pity me session.  This is for artwork, so here is an update on my one woodburning.

This is the wolf woodburing I started a while back.  it is coming along quite nicely!!!  I am very pleased with it for now.  This is a christmas present for someone along with the next picture I'm about to show you.

This will be a Black Butler Picture frame.  Sebastion will be on the side and some fancy decorative design in the bottom right corner.  Can't wait to get it done.  So when she get's her picture take with Sebby's voice actor she will have a cool frame to put it in.  There will be a Kenshin one up in my next post.

And last but not least the top to the box I was working on.

Yay!!!  One project all finished.  I am so happy only a billion more to go!!!

Almost forgot it was Monday

Well this is a bit disapointing on my part but I really don't have anything to post tonight.  As the commission I am working on I can't not show you till after Christmas, and I really haven't had the time to work on other things, as I want to get this piece done asap.  Finally started coloring it yesterday though and It looks alright!!!

Sorry for lack of posting

Okay everybody I am soooooo sorry for not posting on Monday or Wednesday.  Things have been busy and I was house sitting Monday for a couple and they don't have internet so I was on able to get on.
Anyway, no more excuse, so I just got my first smartphone yesterday and I am super happy to join the 21st century finally.  Plus I also have some work in progress pictures and a finished project to show you. 

First up is the box project I was working on.

So the front has the bow on it and the back has the bell and the sides are the snow flakes.  I will have the top part up after I get the glass cleaned up a bit, its pretty dusty.

I am also about 3/4 of the way done with another commission.  Which I am not going to put up till after Christmas.  Then I did a smurf tattoo for a lady my parents go to church with.

Well that is all tonight.  On to getting some more stuff done!!!  Yay!!!

Almost down two more projects!!!

I am almost done with two of my woodburning projects.  I have the one sign almost finished.  I have a little outlining to do and then that is all done and my box is almost finished as well, I have some shading left to do and color to add then I can put the pictures on the top!!!    Plus I have a rough sketch done for another project and I am still working on the family portrait commission that I am working on as well.

  So here is the sign.  All I have left is to outline the one helmet.  and sign it!!!  Then it is all done!!!! Yay!!!Added the orange color with water color pencil.

The above shots are of the box I am doing as a Christmas gift.  The sides have a snow flake pattern on them while the front and back have the names of her pets.  Also I got my scanner up and running so I have the portrait I am working on as well.

 There you go.  Lots done and still so much more to go.    Also I will not be posting Friday night as I am house sitting and will not have access to the internet.  So I will have lots more stuff for you on Monday!!!!!  Hopefully lots of finished stuff!!!

Woodburner finally arrived!!

So I finally got my woodburner today and I started burning.  Mostly because the first woodburning commission I have is fairly simple and shouldn't take to much time to do.
The first one is the sign with the Cleveland Browns Bulldog and helmets.

I am having problems with my scanner so the portrait I promised will not be until later and I will just put it on my profile page.    So I am super excited to work on some woodburning.

Woodburning and Portrait Projects

I have some more woodburning projects to share with you.  These are like the box I posted, just the initial drawing as my woodburner has yet to be shipped.  I will have a couple more woodburning projects up on Wednesday.

The first one is a Commission for a girl I work with.  The family she wants to give it to are big fans of the Cleveland Browns.

This is a portrait I am doing for my sister for Christmas and I hope to start working on it again sometime soon!!!  This rather large and I am hoping I can get it done on time!!!  All done in colored pencil!  I will tell you who it is later.

The Paino Guys and Art Work

So I apologize to all you readers for not posting Monday night as I went straight to a friends house spent the night and then went to see The Piano Guys up at Cleveland yesterday!!!!  The concert was incredible and I had an awesome time!!!  So if you love music and just want to have a good time at a concert look them up and check concert dates.  This is one of my favorite pieces so far that they have done so check it out.

So I have been very busy with artwork though I don't have much to show you tonight I will have a lot of pics up on Friday of all the woodburning pieces I have ready to be burned.
Tonight I do have an update on my Ike picture and he is almost done!!!  I just have a little on his jacket left to do!!! So for any of you who actually read my blog I am wanting to do another celebrity portrait.  Please comment on one that you would like to see me do!!!!  I am open to drawing anyone.  So please leave a comment below, or if there is something you would like to see me draw period.  I am cool with that too!

Wonderful two days!!

So yesterday was my birthday and I had a wonderful day, all that got done was rewatching some of my favorite episodes of Gintama, had lunch with a friend and just had a great day.
Today I have pictures of another Christmas gift which I can do no more with until I get my woodburner.

I truly enjoyed my birthday as I got to see a friend and be with family and that was wonderful and I wish I could do that more often. 

So the reason I mentioned Tomokazu San and Gintoki earlier is not just because I am major fans but because I have a lot to thank them for.  So if you have not seen Gintama and you like comedy, action, and total randomness check it out.  It always manages to put a smile on my face when I am depressed the most!!!  Anyway that's really all I have to say for now so Happy Birthday to two of the most awesome people ever real and otherwise!!!  Love them with all my heart!!!

Dragon is Finished!!!!

Well my dragon skateboard is finally finished everyone!!!  I am so excited!  He turned out pretty good to.  Though the white is a little in your face I still think it helps lead your eye through the image.

I am quite happy with it and glad it is done!!!  When it stops raining I will be putting a spray on it and then get it shipped down south!!!  I also did another before this one and it was of a monk. 

I got the imagine on line from national geographic or a site like that.  The vine designs I also got online.  Unfortunately I do not have the link anymore for those sites to give them the proper credit they deserve but I will be looking them up again soon.  Also got started on another Christmas gift and will have pictures up on Wednesday for that one!!!  And will have Ike done then too!!!

Today was the first Sunday I have had off in quite a while and it was really nice.  Got to go out for Chinese with my family and work on artwork all day and drink lots of tea!!!  Tis the life.

Woodburner ordered!!!!

Well I have another finished project to share with you today and an almost finished dragon!!!  So excited.  First off all I have to do is add the extra color to the scales on the face and the dragon is done.

So hopefully I should have him done soon.  Also I got another project finished as well and it turned out rather nice.  Though my second attempt on the project.  This is for my sister for Christmas, it is Henry!!!!  I did this at home with some fabric paint and iron on transfer paper!!!  but it still came out nice I think!!  Lots of fun.  

As I said last time I had company over on Wednesday.  I had a great time watched some Gintama (my favorite anime ever) the Korean Drama Secret Garden, and many music videos.  As we were watching some Gintama we came up with the idea to turn the lovely men from that show into their own boy band.  So keep your eyes open cause their might be a drawing in the process!!!!
Also I have a woodburner on the way and happy to say you will get to see some woodburning pieces soon!!!!!  yay!!!!

Late Night Post

Sorry this is so late.  I did not get off of work till about 20 after 10, but anyway I finally have a finished piece for you guys.  So exciting!!!  Got my Elf done while at work today.  So that is a plus.  Hope to have more finished pieces up soon!! 

So I did this drawing on a small postcard.  All done in water color pencil.  It took about 3 hours to do.  It was a lot of fun and something simple I could do at work.

If you have any question on how I did something please feel free to ask. 
Other than that not much to report in the art world.  I might share some pictures of my cat on Wednesday though.  I really hope to give him a place where he can just have his own space and doesn't have to be bothered by our new kitten.  You might see him pop up in some pieces down the road too!!!!

Dragon Fail?

It's Saturday so that means another update!!!   So I was unable to finish my dragon, but I am super close.  Just have some shading to do on the fur on the back, and the face.  I did however start coloring my elf at work today as I am know back to 8 and 7 hour days.  which sucks for my artwork but yay for an actual somewhat livable pay check.

Well here she is.  I Started coloring while on lunch today and hope to get some more done on lunch tomorrow.  Once she is finished I will start working on the next one in the series. 
As I mentioned earlier the face was started and also the fur or hair on the back is pretty much done.  Here are the updates

So I really really wanted to have this done today but no such luck.  Also I will be having company over on Wednesday so I may or may not have an update for you all.  
On another note I ordered my new woodburner Thursday and hopefully it should be shipping soon.  I am so excited to be woodburning again.

Motivation and Inspiration

Well, I'm back again after 2 days of working on nothing but artwork.    I have some side projects started and almost finished with this skateboard.  I really am motivated to get it done, as soon as possible.  Why you ask, the money I make from this will help pay off my first college loan!!!  One down and five more to go.....  
So the dragon skateboard will be the big project for the next post as well.  Once that is done I have some cool commissions I will be working on and some personal projects like the elf and Ike.  Here is the update on the dragon skateboard.

Now as I have been working on this skateboard board I have been listening to a lot of music and my sister came across yet another Korean Boy Band by the name of Infinte.  Their song The Chaser has also been a big motivation, why cause I want to draw one of the boys in the band so badly.

The Handsome gentleman who parts the sea is the one I speak of.  Sung-yeol is his name!!!

My inspiration for this dragon has been from my favorite and and first anime series/ova Record of Lodoss War.  Shooting Star was the name of the dragon.  So cool if you like anime I highly recommend it.
